Spring Semester 2019

HMEA 2019 (January 19-20)

Thank you notes from Dr.Tim and Dr.Tsugawa

Greetings to All:

First-and-foremost, THANK YOU for inviting me to be one of your presenters at the 2019 Hawaii Music Educators Association convention.  It is humbling to join such an esteemed list of colleague.

Having spoken at every state MEA convention, there are those that connect in a special way, and - most certainly - HMEA is one of the “chosen few” for me.  The “magic elixir” is THE PEOPLE.  You bring to the event a "spirit-of-enthusiasm" and a "keen desire-to-learn.”  Therein lies the recipe-for-success in this fantastic profession.

My hat is off to the Board members who put together such first-class program.  ’Tis not an easy task to coordinate all the pieces of the puzzle, however the event was seamless.  Again, your above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty efforts bring benefits to everyone.  Give yourself and your fellow Board members a much-deserved pat-on-the-back.  BRAVO!

The participation of the college students added so much.  Every successful organization/association is based on participation/membership/attendance.  If you are starting your career in this fashion, you are certain to be successful in every aspect of your professional journey.  CONGRATS TO YOU!

Here’s wishing you continued success.  If I can be of service to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.  We are all IN THIS TOGETHER!

Remember:  HMEA is YOUR ORGANIZATION!  Continue to support it in every fashion.

In your debt, I remain,

Tim
